Statement of Faith

A Walk through Nature has three primary purposes:

• To introduce the gospel message and bring people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

• To see members of the body of Christ, one by one, grow in their most holy faith, laying aside every hindrance and surrendering wholeheartedly to the one true living God – Jesus Christ.

• To empower and encourage all believers to fulfill their God-given call.

We Believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God as the only mediator between sinful man and a holy God.

We Believe a person is saved by faith in Jesus Christ, through His death, burial and resurrection.

We Believe the Bible is the inspired, and only infallible, authoritative Word of God. God reveals Himself to those who seek Him, and He increases our faith, and directs our lives through His Powerful living Word.

We Believe the true basis for Christian fellowship is God's love.

We believe our faith is a witness and will lead us to Win people to Jesus Christ, training them up in the knowledge of Jesus Christ and empowering members of the body to fulfill their personal call.

We Believe in The Trinity. There is one God who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe we can know each person of the Trinity in a personal way.

We Believe "God The Father" is the source of all creation. He sent His Son Jesus Christ to earth to be our Savior. Throughout the gospels, Jesus glorifies the Father, communes with the Father through prayer, acts according to the Father's will and claims unity with the Father.

We Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God as He claimed to be. He was both fully God and fully man. He was born to a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed many miracles, gave direction to His followers, and willingly laid down His life on a cross as a sacrifice for our sins. Whoever would believe in Him and confess Him as Lord, be saved! He died and was buried. On the third day, He was raised to life and and appeared to man before ascending into heaven. We Believe He will come again to earth in power and glory. We believe Jesus Christ our Lord is the only way to be saved from eternal judgment for our sin and is the promise for eternal life with Him in Heaven.

We Believe the Holy Spirit is sent by Jesus to dwell in the hearts of all believers to teach us, guide us and empower us to use the gifts and talents He has given to each believer. With the Holy Spirit's help, we are able to know the One True Living God, to spread His love to others, and carry out His purpose for our lives.
